The film Deadpool and Wolverine can be watched with zero knowledge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
One of the most anticipated films of the summer is Deadpool and Wolverine. After many years of waiting, we will once again see one of the most comical superheroes on the screen - Deadpool. He will be joined by Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who is a favourite with audiences. But is it necessary to know everything that happened in the Marvel universe before watching the film?
Here's What We Know
The film's director, Shawn Levy, claims that prior knowledge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not a requirement to enjoy the film.
" I was a good student in school. I’ll do my homework as an adult. But I am definitely not looking to do homework when I go to the movies. I very much made this film with certainly a healthy respect and gratitude towards the rabid fan base that has peak fluency in the mythology and lore of these characters and this world. But I didn’t want to presume that. This movie is built for entertainment, with no obligation to come prepared with prior research".
When We Can Expect It
The premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine will take place on 26 July.
